To find the criminals of the alleged gang rape, ten police teams have been established.
Pune gangrape: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by three men on the outskirts of Pune while her male companion was assaulted, news agency PTI reported on Friday, quoting the police. The gangrape allegedly took place in the Bopdev Ghar area around 11 pm on Thursday, police said.
According to the Kondhwa police, the woman had gone to the area with a male friend. “According to preliminary information, the woman and her male friend had gone to the Bopdev Ghar area late Thursday night, where three unidentified men allegedly raped her,” a senior Pune police official said.
He said 10 police teams have been formed to trace those behind the alleged gangrape. Another official from the Kondhwa police station told PTI that the incident took place at a secluded spot and the trio also assaulted the woman’s male friend.
