Frank Fritz, who appeared on the History Channel’s antiques collector show “American Pickers,” has died, according to his co-presenter and “American Pickers” producer Mike Wolfe. Fritz was 60.

Fritz passed away on Monday, according to a statement made by Wolfe on his Facebook page on Tuesday. Wolfe added that he had known Fritz for more than half of his life and that he was “a dreamer who was as funny as he was sensitive.”
“Even the way he was off camera, Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many people just by being himself,” Wolfe said.
“Just like in front of the camera, Frank had the ability of capturing the hearts of many people by presenting himself in person,” Wolfe stated. “We’ve taken countless trips and covered many miles and I feel fortunate to have been with him when he left for home for the last time.”

Times of Mirror is unable to confirm the cause of death. Fritz died two years after Wolfe posted on her Instagram page that he had been hospitalized due to a stroke.

Fritze appeared with Wolfe in “American Pickers,” a popular series on the History Channel that followed the pair as they travel around the country searching for valuable antiques to restore and resell in their antique shops. The show premiered in 2010.

“We will always remember the ‘bearded charmer’ and his never-ending pursuit of vintage motorcycles and bikes. Our sympathies are with Frank’s loved ones at this terrible time. He will be greatly missed.”
